Our Assessment: The Browning 525 Feather Edition in 12 gauge, made in 2007, is a lightweight over/under shotgun designed for field use, combining excellent handling with reduced weight. Unlike standard Citori models, the Feather Edition features an alloy receiver with a steel breech face and hinge pin, which maintains durability while significantly reducing overall weight. This makes it an ideal shotgun for upland hunting, where long days in the field demand a lighter firearm without sacrificing reliability.

Equipped with 28-inch barrels threaded for Invector Plus chokes, the 525 Feather provides versatility for different shooting scenarios, from hunting to sporting clays. The balance and swing characteristics remain smooth, aided by Browning’s well-engineered design. The steel breech face ensures longevity and strength where it matters most, while the alloy receiver keeps weight down, making it noticeably easier to carry than traditional steel-receiver models. With its elegant walnut furniture, crisp trigger, and reputation for reliability, the Browning 525 Feather remains a sought-after choice for those who appreciate both performance and ease of carry in the field. Please see our high quality photos via the link and best of luck with your bidding!!!-R.L.
