Sights / Optics: The barrel rib has a fixed silver bead. The barrel rib is checkered to reduce glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a two piece checkered walnut, semi pistol grip, finger groove forend, straight comb, and rubber recoil pad. The LOP is 13″ from trigger to the back of the recoil pad. There are scattered scratches and compression dents, most notably on the wrist. There are no cracks. Overall this stock is in Good Condition

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no visible erosion. There is minor fouling. In this writer’s opinion this bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are scratches and corrosion freckling throughout. There is handling and operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall this shotgun rates in Good to Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Browning BPS (Browning Pump Shotgun) series has earned a strong reputation among hunters and field shooters for its robust construction and distinctive bottom eject design. Introduced in the late 1970s, the BPS was designed to offer smooth pump action operation combined with reliability in harsh field conditions. One of the defining features of the platform is its bottom loading and bottom ejection system, which helps keep debris out of the action and makes the shotgun equally comfortable for right or left handed shooters. Produced by Miroku in Japan for Browning, the BPS line has long been recognized for solid build quality and durable performance in the field.
The Micro Midas variant was designed specifically for younger shooters or those who prefer a shorter length of pull and more compact overall configuration. The reduced stock dimensions and shorter barrel make the shotgun easier to handle for smaller framed shooters while still maintaining the dependable functionality of the BPS platform. Chambered in 20 gauge and capable of firing both 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells, the shotgun offers versatile performance for upland birds, small game, and general field use. The Invector Plus choke system allows the shooter to easily tailor the shotgun’s pattern for different hunting situations.
This example was manufactured in 2002 and retains approximately 95 percent of its original blued metal finish with visible scratches, handling marks, and scattered corrosion freckling consistent with normal field use. The walnut stock and forend show scattered scratches and compression dents, most noticeable around the wrist, but remain structurally sound with no cracks observed. The bore is bright and rates approximately 9 out of 10 with only minor fouling present. The pump action operates correctly and the shotgun locks up properly. Overall this Browning BPS Micro Midas presents as a solid example of a compact field shotgun designed for dependable hunting use.
