The scope shows light wear. Overall, the scope rates in Very Good condition. The scope is mounted to the receiver by a two-piece Talley base with integral scope rings. The scope is mounted incorrectly, as the scope is mounted 90 degrees too far left.

The gloss finish is intact, and the checkering is well defined. The stocks fit tightly to the frame, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stocks rate in Very Good condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 1x 3rd factory magazine, in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some fouling present. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9.75/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling wear, with minor superficial imperfections throughout the metal surfaces, along with a couple of minor dings on the magazine floorplate, and minor finish wear on the trigger guard. Otherwise, the bluing is deep, dark, and intact. The markings are clear and legible. The pins are unmarred. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with the magazine and scope as mentioned above.
Our Assessment: The Browning BAR Mark II Safari represents the refined sporting version of Browning’s long-running gas-operated autoloading rifle. Introduced in the early 1990s, the Mark II Safari combined Belgian manufacture and Portuguese assembly with gloss-finished walnut furniture, an engraved receiver, detachable magazine, and the smooth semi-automatic operation that made the BAR a popular hunting rifle. This 1994 example is chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum and equipped with Browning’s BOSS system, which was introduced that same year to allow the rifle’s barrel harmonics to be tuned for improved accuracy with specific loads. The combination of the powerful 7mm Remington Magnum cartridge, 22″ barrel, BOSS system, and semi-automatic action makes this a capable sporting rifle for deer, elk, and other medium-to-large game.
This rifle is in Fine condition overall, retaining about 98% of its original blue finish with only minor superficial imperfections, light wear on the trigger guard, and a couple of small dings on the magazine floorplate. The checkered gloss-finished walnut stocks remain in Very Good condition with only light scratches and dings, well-defined checkering, and no chips or cracks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and some fouling, rating 9.75/10, while the action and safety function correctly. The included Bushnell 3-9×40 scope has clear glass and rates in Very Good condition, though it is currently mounted approximately 90 degrees out of proper orientation and should be remounted correctly before use. The rifle also includes an Excellent-condition factory three-round magazine. Please see our photos for a better understanding of the condition and good luck with your bids! – J.D.
