Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “SAFARI” and “BRPT19645YM311”. The left side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. / MADE IN BELGIUM – ASSEMBLED IN PORTUGAL BY BROWNING VIANA”. The right side of the barrel is marked “BAR CALIBER .270 Win. ONLY / BROWING S.A.”. The right side of the receiver is marked “SAFARI”.

Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a Leupold FX-II 6x36mm Riflescope with Duplex Crosshair Reticle. The sight picture is clear and there is no handling wear on the body of the scope tube. Overall, the scope rates in Excellent condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is two piece checkered walnut with a semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, Decelerator buttpad, and two sling studs front and rear. The checkering is sharp. The LOP measures 14 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There is a notable compression on the belly near the buttpad. Other than this blemish, the stocks appear clean. Overall, the stocks are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish is strong and complete throughout. There are a few very minor scuffs on the receiver. The screwheads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. There is a cross-bolt safety behind the trigger. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
