Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING AUTO-5 / INVECTOR SPECIAL STEEL 12GA SHELLS 2 3/4” BROWNING PATENTS”. The right side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. / MADE IN JAPAN”. The receiver features decorative scroll engraving and is marked “BROWNING” with the Browning logo, along with “Light Twelve” in script. The serial number “08168 NM211” is marked on the bottom of the receiver.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass bead fixed to the ventilated rib. The top of the rib and receiver are serrated to reduce glare while aiming.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is in a 2 piece wood stock configuration featuring a fluted straight comb, plastic buttplate, checkered prince of whales grip, and checkered forend. The LOP is 14.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are light scratches present but no chips or cracks. The stock rates in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows only minor handling wear. There are some faint operational marks, but no significant scratches or blemishes. The screw heads are sharp, and the markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
