Markings: The top barrel is marked “P. BERETTA – Gardone V.T. / MADE IN ITALY” on the left. Below the stock line the left side of both barrels are marked with proofs. The bottom of the monoblock is marked “S04”, “35217”, “R”, with Italian proofs, and the boxed “BC” date code. There are also faded proofs and a light original “XXVI” date code on the bottom of the monoblock. The forend iron is marked “35217”. The watertable is marked with “PB” and Italian proofs. The bottom tang is marked “Mod. S.O.4”. The receiver is marked “SO4” on the top flat of the right side and with the serial number “35217” on the top flat of the left side (only visible with the action opened). The left side plate is marked “P. BERETTA” and the right side plate is marked “GARDONE V.T.”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “BREVETATTO / ITALY” and “P. BERETTA / GARDONE V.T.”. The trigger guard is marked “TRAP”. The shotgun has scroll engraving coverage and border engraving.
Barrel Length: Nominal 30″ Vent Rib, Actual Length 29 5/8″
Choke: The barrels are threaded for chokes and installed with Modified over Improved Modified. Also included are Briley extended S-1 chokes Light Full, Light Modified, Modified, Skeet, and Improved Cylinder.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a translucent orange blade fixed to the rib at the muzzle. The rib is serrated for glare reduction.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are custom aftermarket checkered wood stocks by Todd Ramirez. The buttstock has a pistol grip, straight comb, and black rubber buttpad. There are some scattered light compressions and draglines. There are no chips or cracks. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering is mostly strong. The LOP measures 14 3/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the rubber buttpad and 13 1/4″ to the wood. The drop at the comb measures approximately 1 1/2” and 2 1/8” at the heel. The cast is off for a right handed shooter. The pad has scattered wear. Overall, the stocks are in about Fine Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There is light handling wear on the receiver and a ding on the bottom. There are some scuffs on the trigger guard and there is thinning on the bottom tang. There are a couple of light scuffs on the barrels that have lightly thinned the finish. There is some finish loss on the edges of the muzzles. There is some light thinning on the chamber. There are a few scattered spots of faint surface oxidation on the barrels, mostly on the bottom barrel. There is a scrape into the metal on the lever. There are standard operational marks. The markings are clear. The screwheads are sharp. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
