Markings: The top of the rib is marked “Beretta”. The left side of the barrels is marked “12 Ga 3″, 76, 28/ Beretta Gardone V.T.”. The right side of the barrel is marked “Beretta USA Corp Ackk, MD”. There is a consumer warning label on the right side of the barrel. The upper tang is marked with the serial number.

Sights / Optics: There is a silver bead at the end of the solid rib. 

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a two piece checkered walnut, beavertail forend, pistol grip stock, straight comb, wood buttplate. The LOP is 14 1/2″ from trigger to buttplate. The drop at comb is 1 1/2″. The drop at heel is 2 1/2″. This shotgun is lightly right handed cast that kicks out more at the toe. There are light scratches and compression dents. There is a small spot of flattened trajectory. There is a small chip in the wood buttplate. There are no cracks. Overall this stock is in Very Good condition. 

Type of Finish: Blued, Coined Receiver

Finish Originality: Original 

Bore Condition: The bores are bright and shiny. There is no erosion. There is minor plastic fouling in the bores, particularly in the forcing cones. In this writer’s opinion these bores rate 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 97% of its original finish. There are some notable scratches on the forward 1/3 of the barrels. There is handling and operational wear. The screw heads are lightly tooled but serviceable. The markings are clear. Overall this shotgun is in Very Good condition.

Mechanics: This action functions correctly. The barrel selector works properly. The ejectors work correctly. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms a thorough cleaning might be needed to meet your standards.

Chambered in 12 gauge with 3″ chambers, this shotgun is capable of handling a broad range of loads, from lighter upland game shells to heavier field and waterfowl loads. The 28″ barrels provide a smooth and deliberate swing, well suited to instinctive shooting, while the included set of Mobil Choke HP tubes allows the shooter to tailor performance across varying conditions. This example presents in very good condition, retaining approximately 97% of its original finish with light handling wear and more noticeable scratches along the forward third of the barrels. The coined receiver remains visually appealing, and the walnut stock shows light use with scattered dents, a small chip at the buttplate, that further kicks out at toe at the toe, along with a subtle right-hand cast that influences fit and handling. The bores are bright with minor plastic fouling, and the action functions correctly, including the selector and ejectors. Complete with its factory case, choke set, wrench, and sling stud kit, this 486 Parallelo offers a well-appointed and modern interpretation of the classic side by side shotgun.
