Action Type: Top Break, Over / Under with single selective inertial trigger. The Over Under barrel set has ejectors and the Over Single set has a lifter.
Markings: The upper tang is marked “AF0444B”. Both sides of the receiver are marked “P. Beretta”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “ MADE IN ITALY” and “DT10 Trident”. The inside of the receiver floor is marked “FINITO”, “PSF” and “PB” with several proofs. The buttpad is marked “LIMBSAVER”.
MonoTop Barrel Set: The left side is marked “Mono Top – 12Ga. 2 ¾ and 3in. Shot Shells-34in. H Trap P. Beretta Italy”. Under the handguard is marked “CAM 76 18.6” with proofs, “KGI. 840”. The bottom is marked “31471 M”, and “R34660B BN AF0444B” with a series of proofs. The right side is marked “Beretta U.S.A. Corp. ACKK. The Over Under Barrel Set: The left side is marked “12Ga. O.B. 2 ¾ and 3in. Shot Shells-30in. H Trap P. Beretta Italy”. Under the handguard is marked “CAM 76 18.6” with proofs, “Excelsior – high strength alloyed steel KGI. 660 18.6”. The bottom is marked “34469”, and “BN AF0444B” with a series of proofs. Barrel Length: The Over Under barrel set is 30” and the MONO Over barrel is 34”.
Choke: All three barrels are threaded for Beretta Optima Chokes. The set includes 2 x Improved Modified, 1 x Full, 1 x Light Full,1 x Modified, and 1 x Extended Improved Modified Choke. Six Chokes total.
Sights / Optics: The MONO trap set has a large White front bead and a smaller Brass mid bead set on a finely checkered rib. The Over Under set Has an Orange fiber front sight with a smaller brass mid bead set on a finely checkered rib.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set is a two-piece checkered select walnut with a Beavertail style full finger shelf forend. The stock is a right handed palm swelled semi pistol grip with diamond checkering for your thumb on the wrist, fluted adjustable comb, monte carlo style trap stock with an adjustable drop Limbsaver rubber buttpad. The stock has minor handling wear with only a few scattered light marks. There are two marks in the stock near the right side of the upper tang and one small nick near the right side of the lever. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14.5″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The cast is about neutral, but the comb is adjusted slightly out to the left. The pad shows wear but is still supple. The forend similarly shows almost no wear with just minor marks, and several very small nicks in the nose. Overall, the furniture set is in Very Good to Very Good + condition.
Type of Finish: Blue and Black.
Finish Originality: The barrels have their original finish. The receiver has been refinished.
Bore Condition: All three smooth bores are mirror bright. There is no erosion in the bores. The forcing cones in all three barrels show very minor lines from use and very minor plastic fouling. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 97% of its finish. As mentioned above the receiver has been refinished and it looks like the new finish has covered some pitting underneath . The gold on the trigger shoe has mostly worn away although this shotgun includes an extra trigger shoe. The lower lip of the receiver shows normal rub wear from use. Both barrels show scratches and marrs on their blocks from being assembled and disassembled and the usual rub wear from the forend that is concealed when assembled. The barrels themselves also show minor wear from use with small marks scattered throughout and the edges of the ribs have some small marrs that have removed some finish. The screw heads are sharp and the markings are mostly clear. Overall this shotgun set is in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly including the ejectors / lifter. The action locks up tight with no play. The safety functions only as a barrel selector. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun includes both barrel sets, chokes, Negrini Lockable hard case, stock adjustment tool, choke case, spare parts case with tool, springs, trigger, firing pins and pins.
