Markings: The right side of the receiver is marked “BERETTA Xcel XA146869 IT15”.  The left side of the receiver is marked “A400 – Xcel – 12 GA MADE IN ITALY – PATENTED”.  The Bolt Carrier Group is marked with some proofs and “BLINK”.  The right side of the buttpad is marked “KICK-OFF”.  The left side of the buttpad is marked “PATENTED” with the Beretta Logo. The right side of the barrel is marked “WARNING READ MANUAL BEFORE USE / BERETTA USA CORP. ACKK. MD / ALLOYED CR. MO. QUENCHED HIGH TENSILE STEEL”, “XB142318”. The left side of the barrel is marked “SPORTING BERETTA – GARDONE V.T.- MADE IN ITALY / OB HP 12 Ga. 76 mm for 2 ¾”-.3”-30”-18.6 CN”.

Choke: This shotgun is cut for Beretta Optima HP Extended Chokes. Currently installed with a Briley Spectrum Skeet extended choke. Also includes a Beretta extended IMPROVED MODIFIED, a Flush Modified, and a flush Cylinder chokes. 4 x Chokes total.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Large white bead affixed to the rib, the mid bead has been removed. The rib is finely checkered for reducing glare.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The furniture set is a two piece checkered walnut with ambi palm swelled gun pod ready semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, rubber Kick-off spring operated shock absorbing recoil pad, and checkered forend with full finger shelf. The LOP measures 14.25” from the front of the trigger to the rear of the buttpad. There is one notable compression on the right side flank of the stock just in front of the butt pad. The rest of the wood shows only minor handling wear. There are no chips or cracks. The kick off system functions correctly. Overall the Wood is in Very Good condition.

Type of Finish: Blue Anodized receiver, Blued Barrel.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition:  The smooth bore is mirror bright. There is no visible erosion. There is no plastic fouling or lines from use. The pistol is clean. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition:  This shotgun retains about 99% of its finish. This shotgun has been upgraded with a Briley extended bolt release, and bolt handle. The receiver shows very minor storage wear, the barrel shows similar wear with minor handling wear neither have any notable marks or defects. Overall this shotgun is in about Very Good + to Excellent condition

Mechanics:  The action functions correctly.  We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
