Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “PIETRO BERETTA GARDONE V.T. CAL. 9 Short – MADE IN ITALY”. The left side of the frame is marked “B21297Y”. The right side of the slide is marked “P.B. – MOD. 84 – PATENTED”. Both grip panels are marked “P.BERETTA” with trident logos. The bottom of the mag is also marked with the Beretta trident.
Barrel Length: 3.75”
Sights / Optics: The sights are open iron sights. The front sight is a blade integral to the slide. The rear sight is a rectangular notch sight dovetailed to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips on this pistol are custom wood, fish scale textured two piece grips screw set to the frame. The grips show barely visible handling wear, with a small chip missing from the inside edge of the bottom of the left grip panel that is not really visible unless you are really looking for it. There are no visible cracks. Overall the grips are in Like New Condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: This pistol includes One 13rd magazine in Like New condition.
Type of Finish: High Polish Stainless and 24 Karat gold plated accents.
Finish Originality: Original to American Golden Weapons.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. The feed ramp is smooth with some minor rub wear. There is some minor fouling in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 8.5/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its finish. As a high polish finish there are some minor scattered surface lines in the finish from storage and handling. The notable marks include minor rub wear on the barrel, a small line on the side of the hammer, and rub wear on the hammer face. The markings are clear and the screw heads are sharp. The pins are unmarred. Overall this pistol is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. This pistol has an ambidextrous frame mount safety.
