Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “Cal. 300 Win. mag. ONLY CRIOBARREL / BENELLI – ITALY – READ OWNER’S MANUAL BEFORE USE AR015861J”. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number, the date code, and Benelli’s address. The right side of the receiver is marked “BE.S.T.”. The right side of the chassis system is marked “BENELLI / LUPO”. The bolt is marked “Benelli Bolt System”, along with a QR code, and the serial number.
Barrel Length: 24″, Threaded 5/8×24 w/Thread Protector. 1:11″ Twist.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a two-piece picatinny rail for optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a two-piece, checkered, AA-Grade Satin Walnut stock set, with a pistol grip with palm swells, raised monte carlo comb, black rubber buttpad, and a checkered forend with finger groove. The stock is fitted with Benelli’s internal Progressive Comfort system, which significantly reduces felt recoil (as stated by Benelli). The LOP is adjustable, but the LOP measures 13 3/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad in its current configuration. The LOP, drop, cast, and trigger reach is all adjustable via stock spacers, and the included shim kit. The stock shows minor handling wear, with only a couple of minor dings on the front of the comb. The stock’s finish is intact throughout. The checkering is well defined. Both the buttstock and the forend fit tightly to the chassis & frame, with no play. The wood grain is attractive. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stocks rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99%+ of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no notable wear. The finish is intact throughout. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the tang mounted safety. The trigger is user-adjustable from 2.2-4.4 lbs, and breaks cleanly and consistently at 2 lbs 14 ounces, on its current setting. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its original serial number matching box, owner’s manual/paperwork, gun oil, and the LOP spacers/shim kit, and the magazines as mentioned above.
Our Assessment: The Benelli BE.S.T. Lupo Walnut represents the Italian maker’s modern interpretation of the precision hunting rifle, blending modular ergonomics with advanced metallurgy. Introduced as Benelli’s first bolt action platform, the Lupo utilizes a rigid alloy chassis system with a free-floated Crio-treated barrel and Benelli’s proprietary BE.S.T. surface treatment, engineered for exceptional corrosion resistance and durability. Chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum, a cartridge introduced in 1963 and long favored for its flat trajectory and authority on large North American and international game, this configuration reflects a contemporary magnum hunting rifle built for harsh environments and extended range performance.
This 2022 example retains approximately 99 percent or better of its original BE.S.T. finish, showing virtually no notable wear. The 24 inch threaded barrel with 1:11 twist remains bright with sharp rifling and rates 10 out of 10 in this writer’s opinion. The AA-Grade satin walnut stock set with Progressive Comfort recoil reduction system presents attractively, with only minor handling impressions near the comb. Ergonomics are fully adjustable via included spacers and shims, and the trigger currently breaks cleanly at approximately 2 pounds 14 ounces. Complete with factory box, paperwork, oil, shim kit, and two 5-round magazines, this Lupo Walnut offers modern engineering in a refined sporting configuration.
