Markings: Left side of the receiver is marked “BEFORE HANDLING RIFLE READ MANUAL FROM: BARRETT MANUFACTURING, INC. MURFREESBORO, TN. U.S.A.” and “CAL. 50 MODEL 82A1 SER. 2864 PAT. 4677897”. The receiver is also marked with “SAFE” and “FIRE” on both sides. The barrel is marked “PMP CR18781 2/96”. The bolt is marked “11-95 057”. The rear of the upper is marked “2864”. The scope is marked “SWAROVSKI OPTIK 10X42 BARRETT .50 CAL”.

Barrel Length: 29” fluted 33.5″ with 2 chamber Arrowhead muzzle break.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a flip up hooded post sight. The rear sight is a flip up aperture sight with yard markings from 100-1500. Mounted to the 5″ weaver style rail is a Swarovski 10X42 Barrett 50 cal scope with BDC reticle and covered turrets. The light transmission is good and the sight picture is clear, the turrets adjust with positive clicks. Overall the scope is in Very Good condition.

Stock Configuration & Condition: This rifle has a Lone Star Stowaway ar15 compatible pistol grip, rubber butt pad, rear mounted handle, carrying handle and bi-pod. The LOP measures 15” from the front of the trigger to the back of the butt pad. The rubber is soft showing only minor wear from age, the pistol grip shows some scratches and small nicks. The bi-pod shows some dirt and debris. Overall the pad, bi-pod and grip are in Good+-Very Good Condition.

Magazine Quantity & Condition: This rifle includes two 10 round magazines. The magazines are in Very Good+ condition showing only minor scattered wear.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. There is very minor fouling in the grooves. The feed ramp is smooth and shiny. The brake shows verdigris. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.5/10

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows scattered marks, rub wear, nicks, and spots of surface rust. The finish has also begun to turn green in places from age. The recoil spring shows some surface rust on the coils. The barrel has some small spots of surface rust on the friction surfaces. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The bolt face shows minor brass fouling. The markings are mostly clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
