Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORATION / WEST HURLEY, NEW YORK, U.S.A.” The right side of the receiver is marked “THOMPSON SEMI-AUTOMATIC CARBINE / CALIBER .45M1 / NO. M15962.” The top of the receiver bears the Auto-Ordnance “Thompson” trademark logo. The safety selector is marked “SAFE” and “FIRE.”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a fixed blade. The rear sight is fixed peep sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is in a 3 piece wood configuration featuring a straight comb, steel buttplate, pistol grip with finger grooves, grooved forend, 2 sling mounts, 1 in the belly of the buttstock and 1 in the bottom of the forend. The LOP is 17” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are a few very light scratches present. There are no chips or cracks. The stock rates in Excellent condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: One 30 round magazine and one 20 round magazine. Both magazines are in Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is some stubborn fouling present. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This Thompson retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minimal handling wear, with some minor scratches and scuffs along the receiver. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear and well-defined. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
