Introduced in 1952, the M1952 model is an evolution of earlier Mannlicher-Schoenauer designs that originated in the early 20th century. The rifle is built on the famous Mannlicher rotary magazine system, which is one of its defining features. The M1952’s action is another hallmark of the rifle. It features the classic Mannlicher bolt design, which is known for its smoothness and durability. The bolt has a split-bridge configuration, which contributes to the rifle’s accuracy by maintaining a rigid and stable platform. This, combined with the rifle’s excellent balance and ergonomics, makes it a favorite among hunters and shooters who value precision and reliability. The rifle’s barrel is cold hammer-forged, a process that Steyr Mannlicher perfected, resulting in barrels that are exceptionally accurate and long-lasting. The .270 Winchester chambering is a popular choice for hunters due to its versatility and effectiveness at various ranges, making the M1952 a highly capable hunting rifle. Whether used for deer, elk, or even larger game, the M1952 in .270 Winchester provides the accuracy and power needed for successful hunting.
