Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver has a picatinny rail section.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a two-piece aluminum chassis with a sling stud/bipod mount, Harris bipod, A2 pistol grip, skeletonized stock w/ cheek rest, and soft rubber buttpad. There are moderate scratches and wear marks throughout. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/2″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. Overall, the stock rates in Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore but there is some light fouling throughout. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its original metal finish. There are scratches, nicks, spots of rust freckling, and moderate spots of corrosion staining throughout. Many screws are rusted. The screw heads are sharp and the pins undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

This example remains in good overall condition, retaining approximately 90% of its original finish with visible handling wear, scattered scratches, corrosion staining, and rust freckling throughout. The bore remains a strong point, exhibiting bright surfaces and sharp rifling with only minor fouling present, supporting its 9 out of 10 rating. The aluminum chassis stock system shows honest wear but remains structurally sound, while the included Harris bipod adds practical utility for supported shooting positions. Although several screws exhibit oxidation, the rifle remains mechanically sound and the markings remain clear and legible.
Altogether, this ArmaLite AR-30 represents a capable long-range precision rifle built around a proven chassis system and a powerful magnum cartridge.
