Markings: Top barrel marked “Anschutz Mod. 1432 .22 Hornet FACTORY LOAD ONLY”. Barrel left marked eagle over “N”, “IE” date code (YOM 1984), Ulm antler. Receiver left marked with serial number “1273424”, eagle over “N”, “J.G. Anschutz GmbH Ulm West-Germany”. Bolt front face marked “424”. Bolt handle rear and bolt top marked eagle over “N”.

Sights/Optics: The front of the barrel is drilled, tapped, and filled for a front sight (none included). Please note, the forward most scree head mis missing, but threading still appears to be in the port. The rear dovetail notch is filled. The grooved receiver is fitted with Ruger rings that have mounted on them a Leupold VX-III 3.5-10×40 scope with a range-finding reticle. The scope body has taken on a very light plum hue and there are scattered minor scuffs and one more notable nick on the objective bell. The glass is fairly clear. Overall, the scope rates in Very Good-plus condition.
Stock Configuration, and Condition: Checkered wood with floating barrel, schnabel forend, capped pistol grip with inset diamond, Monte Carlo comb with cheek piece, and a serrated black hard rubber buttpad. There are sling studs on the belly of the buttstock and the underside of the forend. The comb and cheek piece have a few light nicks and compressions. The underside of the forend has a few light compressions. The toe of the buttstock has a small cluster of minor compressions. The right side of the stock under the ejection port has a few more notable light nicks. The checkering is well-defined. There are no chips. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The buttplate has some light edge wear and scuffs at the heel and toe. Overall the stock is in Very Good-to-Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion, but light stubborn fouling can be seen nearer to the muzzle.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 94% of its finish. Light tool marks and nicks are visible on the top of the barrel near the screws. The receiver has a few minor nicks and scuffs. The screwheads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall the rifle is in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: This rifle includes one (1) 5-round magazine.
Our Assessment: Anschütz rifles have a sterling reputation and are truly loved by enthusiasts for their sturdy construction, fine aesthetic, and accuracy. On offer here is the 1432 chambered in the even less common .22 Hornet cartridge, which is a rather powerful cousin to other .22 caliber loads. This rifle features a floating barrel and includes a Leupold VX-III scope. All of this makes for a powerful varmint or target rifle that is not easy to come by.
