Our Assessment: The Winchester 9422M High Grade Tribute Edition was produced as a limited commemorative honoring Winchester’s highly regarded Model 9422 rimfire lever action rifle. This .22 WMR example is one of 9,422 Tribute rifles and combines the smooth, compact 9422 action with upgraded high-grade walnut, factory scroll engraving, gold-accented “MODEL 9422 TRIBUTE” banner, and the Winchester horse motif on the receiver. Chambered in .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire with a 22″ barrel, it pairs the traditional handling and appearance of Winchester’s rimfire lever gun with increased velocity and energy for small game and varmint hunting. Its limited production and deluxe embellishments give the Tribute Edition particular appeal among Winchester rimfire collectors.
