Our Assessment: The SIG Sauer CROSS is a lightweight precision bolt-action rifle designed to bridge the gap between a traditional hunting rifle and a modern chassis-based precision platform. This 2021 example is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and features an 18″ stainless barrel with a 1:8″ twist, folding and fully adjustable stock, M-LOK handguard, integral optics rail, and factory two-stage adjustable match trigger. A Dead Air KeyMo muzzle brake is installed on the 5/8×24 threaded muzzle, providing compatibility with appropriate KeyMo-equipped suppressor systems. The combination of compact dimensions, adjustable ergonomics, and the efficient 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge gives the CROSS considerable versatility for both field and precision use.
