Barrel Length: 28″ Heavy Contour.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a black blade, dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a Lyman 57E adjustable aperture receiver peep sight. The top of the barrel is drilled and tapped for optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece smooth walnut stock, with a semi-pistol grip, straight comb, checkered steel buttplate, a wide forend, and sling rings front and rear. The LOP measures 13 1/2″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock shows no notable wear. The stock’s finish is intact, and the stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 1x 5rd factory magazine, and 1x 10rd factory magazine, both of which rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling wear, with a couple of light dings around the rear trigger guard screw. Otherwise, there is no other notable wear. The bluing is deep, dark, and intact. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine to Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its original serial number matching box, owner’s manual/paperwork, leather sling, and the two magazines as mentioned above.
Our Assessment: The Winchester Model 75 Target was introduced as a high quality bolt action rimfire positioned between Winchester’s basic sporting rifles and the more specialized Model 52 target rifle. This late-1940s example features the characteristic 28″ heavy barrel, broad target-style walnut forend, and Lyman 57E adjustable receiver aperture sight. Chambered in .22 Long Rifle and fed by detachable magazines, the Model 75 Target earned a strong reputation for target shooting, marksmanship training, and precision rimfire use, offering much of the traditional Winchester target-rifle character in a more accessible package.
This rifle is in Fine to Excellent condition overall, retaining about 99% of its original blue finish with only a couple of light dings around the rear trigger-guard screw and virtually no other notable metal wear. The smooth walnut target stock remains in Excellent condition with an intact finish, a tight fit to the barreled action, and no chips or cracks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion, rating 10/10, while the action and safety function correctly. Particularly noteworthy is the completeness of the package: the rifle includes its serial-number-matching factory box, owner’s manual/paperwork, leather sling, one Excellent-condition factory 5-round magazine, and one Excellent-condition factory 10-round magazine.
