Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “45 COLT”. The top of the barrel is marked “STANDARD MFG. CO. LLC” / “NEW BRITAIN, CONN. U.S.A.”. The left side of the frame is marked “PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871 / “ JULY 2,-72 / “ JAN. 19,-75”. The underside of the frame, trigger guard, and grip butt are marked with “US1845”. The rear face of the cylinder is marked “1845”. The front face of the loading gate is marked with the assembly number “1845”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a quarter round blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square groove milled in the top of the frame.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is one-piece smooth walnut. There is little to no handling wear visible. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grip rates in an Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. There is fouling in the grooves. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are light handling scratches. There is clouding along the barrel. The case-color remains vibrant. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The cylinder lockup is solid with no play at the chambers. The action functions correctly. We have not fired this revolver. As with all used firearms a thorough cleaning may be necessary for your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: Standard Manufacturing entered the traditional single-action revolver market in 2018 with a premium, American-made interpretation of the classic Colt Single Action Army. Manufactured in New Britain, Connecticut, Standard’s revolvers are notable for extensive in-house machining from 4140 steel, close hand fitting, bone-and-charcoal color case hardening, deep-polished bluing, and traditional Colt-pattern lockwork rather than a modern transfer-bar system. The SAR4C1 configuration pairs the classic 4 3/4″ barrel and .45 Colt chambering with a traditional one-piece walnut grip, closely capturing the proportions and handling of the original Peacemaker while using modern materials and manufacturing. Standard’s emphasis on traditional construction and high-grade finishing has established these revolvers as premium modern examples of the enduring 1873-pattern single action.
This revolver remains in Excellent condition, retaining approximately 98% of its original blue and case-colored finish with only light handling scratches, minor barrel clouding, and limited evidence of use. The smooth one-piece walnut grip remains equally strong with virtually no handling wear and no chips or cracks, while the bright 9/10 bore retains sharp rifling with no erosion despite some fouling. The vibrant case colors, sharp markings, matching numbered major components, and strong mechanical condition further contribute to the presentation. The serial-matching factory box, cloth revolver bag, and paperwork complete an especially attractive example of Standard Manufacturing’s high-grade American single-action revolver.
