Our Assessment: The IMI UZI Pistol was introduced to the American commercial market in 1984 as a compact semi-automatic member of the famous Israeli UZI family. Manufactured by Israel Military Industries and marketed in the United States through Action Arms, the pistol used a closed-bolt blowback action, top-mounted charging handle, manual safety, grip safety, and compact 4.5″ barrel. It was offered in both 9mm and .45 ACP, with the .45 ACP version using a standard 16-round magazine. Action Arms discontinued importation of the .45 ACP UZI Pistol in 1989, making this chambering less commonly encountered than the 9mm version. Period Action Arms literature confirms the .45 ACP chambering, 4.5″ barrel, and 16-round magazine configuration.
This example is particularly attractive for its exceptional condition and completeness. It retains nearly 100% of its original black finish with sharp screw heads, unmarred pins, clear markings, and virtually no observable handling or operational wear. The bright .45 ACP bore retains sharp rifling with no observed erosion and rates 10/10, while the feed ramp remains smooth and bright. The action functions correctly, and the pistol retains its characteristic top-mounted charging handle, manual safety, and grip safety. Two 16-round .45 ACP magazines are included along with the original box, owner’s manual, paperwork, and tool. Appearing essentially unfired and remaining in Like New condition, this is an especially appealing example of the comparatively scarce .45 ACP IMI UZI Pistol.
