Our Assessment: The Smith & Wesson Model 41 is one of the premier American target pistols of the postwar era. Developed specifically for precision .22 LR competition, the Model 41 entered regular production in 1957 after nearly a decade of development and testing. Early long-barreled examples such as this pistol used Smith & Wesson’s distinctive 7 3/8″ barrel assembly with a removable muzzle brake, a configuration discontinued in 1978 when the later 7″ barrel was introduced.
This example retains its desirable long-barrel configuration and is accompanied by a presentation box, two magazines, and cleaning rod. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, the checkered hardwood target grips remain in Very Good condition, and the action functions correctly. Please see our photos for a better understanding of the condition and good luck with your bids!-C.M.
