Our Assessment: The Arsenal SAM7UF is a Bulgarian-made semi-automatic AK-pattern rifle distinguished by its substantial milled receiver and traditional steel underfolding stock. Chambered in 7.62x39mm, the SAM7UF combines a forged and milled receiver with a cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel, long-stroke gas-piston operation, 800-meter tangent rear sight, side-mounted optic rail, and classic underfolder configuration. This example retains matching final serial digits “5496” on the receiver, dust cover, bolt, and bolt carrier. The SAM7UF represents Arsenal’s modern interpretation of the classic milled-receiver underfolding Kalashnikov, combining Bulgarian military-pattern construction with a semi-automatic commercial configuration.
This rifle retains approximately 35% of its current metal finish after having been deliberately refinished and distressed to produce a battle-worn appearance. The remaining surfaces show scratches and normal operational wear, while the synthetic furniture and underfolding stock remain in Very Good condition with light handling marks and a few minor nicks to the pistol grip. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, no visible erosion, and light fouling, rating 9/10 in this writer’s opinion. The action functions correctly, though we did not fire this rifle. One 40-round magazine and a canvas sling are included. Please see our photos for a better understanding of the condition and good luck with your bids! -N.P
