Sights / Optics: The front sight is an elevation adjustable post set between two protective ears. The rear sight is a fixed peep with protective wings dovetailed to the lower receiver.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This rifle has a three-piece polymer/aluminum furniture set with a sling loop, vented handguard, pistol grip, and tubular aluminum folding stock with a serrated metal buttplate. There are faint handling marks throughout. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stocks rate in Very Good to Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is some moderate stubborn fouling throughout. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates at a 8.5/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are light handling marks present. The muzzle device has some wear marks. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. The bolt has sand cuts.

Our Assessment: The DS Arms SA58 carries forward the Belgian FAL operating system in a modern American-manufactured rifle, and the Bush Warrior series was developed around the compact 18″ carbine configuration. DSA patterns the Bush Warrior after late-production Bolivian-contract FAL features, including the durable Holland-style rear sight and folding metric charging handle, while retaining the FAL’s fully adjustable short-stroke gas-piston system and tilting-bolt lockup. The Para Bush Warrior variation adds the side-folding stock system, producing a more compact rifle while maintaining the full 18″ barrel and 7.62x51mm NATO chambering. This example combines that practical carbine configuration with a tubular aluminum folding stock, vented handguard, fixed peep rear sight, and a sand-cut bolt, giving it a particularly purposeful military-style appearance. This rifle remains in Excellent overall condition, retaining approximately 98% of its metal finish. The exterior shows only light handling marks, with somewhat more noticeable wear concentrated on the muzzle device. The screw heads remain sharp, the pins are unmarred, and the markings are clear. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and moderate stubborn fouling, rating 8.5/10 in this writer’s opinion. The polymer and aluminum furniture shows only faint handling wear and remains free of chips or cracks, rating in Very Good to Excellent condition. The tubular folding stock remains an important feature of the Para configuration. Mechanically, the action functions correctly. The included 20-round steel magazine retains its distinctive Rhodesian painted finish and rates in Fair condition.
For collectors and shooters interested in modern FAL-pattern rifles, the Para Bush Warrior offers an appealing balance between the traditional full-power battle-rifle concept and a more compact carbine format. The 18″ barrel preserves useful ballistic performance while the folding stock substantially reduces overall length for storage and transport. DSA’s Bush Warrior family also deliberately retains several late-contract FAL features associated with the Bolivian pattern, giving the model more historical character than a purely tactical reinterpretation.
