Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece gray and black laminated panels with aggressive diagonal texturing. The grips are in Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is light fouling in the bore. In the opinion of the writer the bore rates 9/10.

Our Assessment: The Springfield Armory RO Elite Operator is a performance-oriented 1911 built around Springfield’s Range Officer series, combining traditional single-action 1911 operation with features intended for practical and defensive use. Chambered in the powerful 10mm Auto cartridge, this example uses a full-size 5″ barrel and incorporates an accessory rail, fiber-optic front sight, extended beavertail grip safety, ambidextrous thumb safety, skeletonized hammer, and skeletonized trigger. Its combination of 1911 handling characteristics and the increased ballistic capability of the 10mm Auto makes the RO Elite Operator an appealing pistol for shooters and Springfield collectors alike.
This example remains in Excellent condition with about 99% of its original finish remaining. The laminated grips are also in Excellent condition, the bore is bright with sharp rifling and only light fouling, and the action functions correctly.
