Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “1890 Wyoming Centennial 1990” and gold-filled. The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT F.A. MFG. Co HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.”. The left side of the frame is marked “PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871” / “JULY 2, 72 JAN. 19, 75” and a Rampant Colt logo. The bottom of the barrel is marked “45”. The bottom of the frame is marked with the serial number. The face of the cylinder is marked with “157” and the rear is marked with “45”. The cylinder is marked with gold-filled Great Seal of Wyoming and “1890-1990” / “WYOMING” / “CENTENNIAL” / “A LASTING LEGACY”.
Barrel Length: 4.75″
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a quarter moon blade fixed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch milled into the topstrap which is visible when cocked.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are a two-piece smooth Goncalo Alves with gold Rampant Colt medallions. There are scattered handling scratches and compression nicks. There is minor chipping of the finish at the bottom of the grips. There are no chips or cracks in the wood. Overall, these grips are in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. There is some stubborn fouling in the bore. In this writer’s opinion this bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 97% of its original metal finish. There are scattered handling scratches and compression dings. There is minor finish loss at the muzzle. There is slight thinning on the cylinder edges. There is a sharp turn line on the cylinder. There is oxidation on the hammer sides. The screw heads are sharp with light tooling. The markings are clear, with some gold loss in the barrel marking. Overall, this revolver is in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Colt Single Action Army was introduced in 1873 and became one of the most recognizable American revolvers, serving military, law-enforcement, ranching, and civilian users throughout the late 19th century. Colt later produced numerous commemorative editions celebrating important state anniversaries and historical events, including this Wyoming Centennial model marking the 100th anniversary of Wyoming’s admission to the Union in 1890. Chambered in .45 Colt and fitted with a 4 3/4″ barrel, the revolver retains the traditional fixed sights, side loading gate, manual ejector, and four-click single-action mechanism associated with the classic Peacemaker. Its gold-filled barrel inscription, Wyoming state seal, and commemorative cylinder decoration distinguish it from standard-production Single Action Army revolvers and give it particular appeal to collectors of Colt commemoratives and Wyoming history.
This 1990 Wyoming Centennial Single Action Army retains approximately 97% of its original blue finish, with scattered handling marks, minor muzzle wear, slight cylinder-edge thinning, oxidation on the hammer sides, and a pronounced cylinder turn line. The smooth Goncalo Alves stocks remain in Fine condition, while the bright 9/10 bore has sharp rifling with some persistent fouling. The action functions correctly, and the revolver’s matching abbreviated cylinder number, gold-filled commemorative decoration, desirable .45 Colt chambering, and classic 4 3/4″ barrel make it an attractive modern Colt commemorative.
