Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a orange fiber optic bead sight fixed to the front of the rib. There is a silver center bead. These sights are on both barrels.

Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stocks are two-piece checkered wood featuring a checkered forend with a full-length finger shelf, a checkered pistol grip, and a vented rubber buttpad. There are light scratches and compression marks throughout. There are a few deeper scratches and compression marks on the buttstock. The checkering remains sharp. The LOP is 14″ from the trigger to the rear end of the buttpad. Overall, the stocks are in about Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion in the bore. There is minor fouling. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9 out of 10.

Overall Condition:  The shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling wear. There are a few faint scratches. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings remain clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all previously owned guns, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Remington SP-10 is a heavy-duty 10 gauge Magnum semi-automatic shotgun, built as Remington’s improved version of the Ithaca Mag-10 and designed for powerful 3 1/2” 10 gauge loads. This example is configured with two vent-rib barrels, one shorter barrel with a Modified Rem Choke installed and one 29.5” barrel with a Full choke installed, orange fiber-optic front beads, silver mid-beads, tubular magazine, blued finish, and two-piece checkered wood furniture with finger-shelf forend, checkered pistol grip, and vented rubber buttpad.

This SP-10 is in Very Good condition overall, retaining about 98% of its metal finish with light handling wear and a few faint scratches. The checkered wood stocks rate in Very Good condition, showing light scratches, compression marks, a few deeper marks on the buttstock, and sharp checkering. Both bores are bright with no erosion and minor fouling, rating 9 out of 10 in this writer’s opinion. The action functions correctly, the screw heads are sharp, the pins are unmarred, and the markings remain clear.
