Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “CAL. 22-252 Rem. MADE IN FINLAND”, along with a proof mark. The right side of the barrel is marked with Beretta’s 2-line warning & address. The left side of the receiver is marked “SAKO 85 S”, along with the serial number and a proof mark.
Barrel Length: 24″, Stainless Fluted, Heavy Contour. 1:14″ Twist.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a Vortex Viper 6.5-20×50 scope, with a mil-dot reticle. The glass in the scope is clear. The scope shows light handling wear. Overall, the scope rates in Very Good to Fine condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece checkered laminate stock, with a semi-pistol grip with right-handed palm swell, monte carlo comb with shadowline cheekpiece, black rubber buttpad, a wide forend, and sling studs front and rear. The LOP measures 14″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows light handling wear, with a few dings in the checkering on the forend, otherwise, the checkering on the wrist is well defined. The stock’s finish is intact. The stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. The action is free-floating all the way to the action. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Very Good to Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no notable wear. The stainless finish is intact throughout. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

The stainless finish remains intact throughout, the markings are clear and legible, the screw heads are sharp, and the action and safety function correctly. The Vortex scope rates in Very Good to Fine condition with clear glass and light handling wear, and the included 5-round factory magazine is in Excellent condition.
