Our Assessment: The IMI Jericho 941 R is one of Israel’s most recognizable service pistol designs and was developed during the early 1990s by Israeli Military Industries. Built around the proven CZ-75 operating system, the Jericho gained a strong reputation for durability, reliability, and excellent handling. The R variant’s slide-mounted decocker gives the pistol a traditional DA/SA service-pistol layout, while the all-steel construction gives it a substantial and steady feel. Early Israeli-made H-3 marked examples are particularly desirable, and the Jericho’s well-known Cowboy Bebop association has further increased collector interest. This example remains in very good overall condition, retaining approximately 95% of its original blued finish with scratches, handling marks, moderate edge wear, and light frame patina visible throughout. The bore remains strong, showing bright surfaces and pronounced rifling with only light stubborn fouling, supporting its 9 out of 10 rating. The synthetic grips show moderate scratches and nicks but remain free of chips or cracks. The included 17-round magazine rates in fair condition, and the slide-mounted decocker configuration adds practical appeal for those who appreciate classic DA/SA service pistols.

Altogether, this IMI Jericho 941 R represents a desirable early Israeli-production service pistol with strong appeal to both collectors and shooters. Its Israeli Military Industries manufacture, H-3 marking, steel-frame construction, 9mm chambering, and Cowboy Bebop association make it a standout example of the Jericho line. With its strong bore, correct early styling, and solid mechanical condition, this pistol remains an attractive representative of one of Israel’s most successful handgun designs. -R.E.
