Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “SAS M-7 Classic / Cal 7.62×39 / AH 08 0673” and “arsenal LAS VEGAS, NEV. U.S.A.”. The right side of the receiver is marked “AKS-47M D-046 of 150”. 

Barrel Length: 16.25” threaded.

Sights / Optics:  The front sight is an adjustable pin protected by wings. The rear sight is a “U” tangent notch leaf sight marked from “1 – 8” and “D” for the battle position.  

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The furniture is a three piece synthetic set with a serrated vented hand guards, checkered semi pistol grip, and metal underfolder. There is little to no wear. There are light scratches throughout. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 12.75” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Magazine Quantity and Condition: One 30rd magazines in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. There is fouling in the grooves. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9 out of 10.  

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows little to no wear. There is light operational wear. There are a few light scratches. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition. 

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Arsenal Inc. SAS M-7 Classic Underfolder is one of the most desirable milled-receiver AK-pattern rifles produced for the American market. Built around Arsenal’s forged and milled receiver design, the SAS M-7 combines the durability of a milled AK with the iconic underfolding stock configuration associated with military AKMS rifles. Chambered in 7.62×39mm and utilizing the proven long-stroke piston system, the rifle offers the robust construction and reliability expected from Arsenal’s premium AK lineup.

This example presents in excellent overall condition and appears to have seen very little use. The underfolder assembly, polymer handguards, and pistol grip remain in excellent condition with only minor handling marks visible. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no visible erosion, earning a strong 9/10 rating. The rifle retains nearly all of its finish with only light operational wear and a few minor cosmetic marks. Particularly noteworthy is the complete package, which includes the serial-matching factory shipping box, magazine, cleaning kit, canvas sling, and accompanying paperwork. The limited-edition marking “AKS-47M D-046 of 150” further enhances its appeal to AK collectors. Altogether, this Arsenal SAS M-7 Classic Underfolder represents a scarce and highly desirable milled-receiver AK variant in excellent condition.
