Sights / Optics: The front sight is a 0.062 National Match blade set between two protective wings. The rear sight is a fully adjustable aperture sight set between two protective wings.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The rifle includes two stock sets. The original stock is a synthetic FDE stock with sling loops, a 13.5” length of pull and a rubber butt pad. The stock shows minor wear from storage with some surface level lines and a few very minor scratches/rub marks. The rubber butt pad shows no notable wear or marks. Overall this stock set is in about Very Good+-Excellent condition.
There are two additional handguards, one synthetic FDE and one Brown composite. The FDE handguard is in about Excellent condition showing no notable marks or marrs. The brown handguard shows some minor scuffs and very small chips in the edges common with these handguards.
The installed stock set includes an M14 pattern walnut stock with selector cut, two sling swivels and hinged metal butt plate with storage compartment. The handguard is the vented composite handguard. The wood has been sanded and refinished and shows minor handling with some very light lines and compressions. There are no chips or cracks. Overall the stock is in about Excellent+ condition. The fiber handguard shows some minor rub marks and handling. There is a small crack in the rear section of the handguard. Overall the upper handguard is in Good condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: This rifle includes one 10 round Check Mate magazine in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. The feed ramps are smooth and shiny. This rifle appears unfired outside of factory testing. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The friction surfaces of the bolt and receiver show very minor rub wear. The markings are clear and the screw heads are sharp. It looks like the previous owner purchased the rifle and swapped out the furniture but never shot the rifle. The finish shows some very minor storage. Overall this rifle is in about Excellent-Like New condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle includes the magazine, the fde stock set, a box for the stock set, and the additional handguard.
Our Assessment: This Springfield Armory M1A MA9120 was manufactured in 2020 and is chambered in .308 Winchester with a 22-inch barrel, traditional M14-pattern iron sights, and a 10-round detachable magazine. Originally shipped from the factory with a flat dark earth synthetic stock and matching handguard, this rifle now wears a classic wood M14 stock featuring the military-style selector cut, giving it the appearance of a traditional service rifle while retaining the benefits of modern M1A production. The original FDE stock and handguard are included with the rifle, allowing the next owner to return it to its factory configuration if desired.
The rifle is currently fitted with a vented composite handguard that complements the military appearance of the wood stock while helping manage barrel heat during extended shooting sessions. Based on the legendary M14 service rifle, the M1A remains one of the most recognizable and respected .308 semi-automatic rifles available, prized for its excellent iron sights, smooth shooting characteristics, and historical lineage.
