Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one piece H.S. Precision fiberglass, beavertail forend, pistol grip, straight comb, and rubber recoil pad. The LOP is 13 1/2″ from trigger to recoil pad. The stock is drilled for sling studs but none are installed. There are light handling marks and a few scuffs. There is a velcro dot stuck to the side. There are no chips or cracks. Overall this stock is in Very Good condition.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its current finish. There is light handling and operational wear. There is a little case wear at the muzzle. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall this rifle is in Very Good to Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. It should be noted that this rifle has a Jewell trigger and is adjusted so that the safety does not function. We recommend that this be repaired before use. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Vandenberg Custom Remington 700 is a purpose-built .308 Winchester bolt-action rifle configured around the proven Remington 700 platform. It features a 20” semi-heavy contour barrel, internal box magazine, matte black refinish, and an H.S. Precision fiberglass stock with a beavertail forend, pistol grip, straight comb, and rubber recoil pad. There are no provisions for iron sights, and the rifle is currently equipped with a Zeiss Conquest V4 6-24×50 scope, giving it a capable long-range or precision-oriented optics setup, though the optic itself is not guaranteed.
This rifle remains in Very Good to Excellent overall condition, retaining about 97% of its current finish. The metal shows light handling and operational wear, with a little case wear at the muzzle, but the screw heads remain sharp and the markings are clear. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, no erosion, and only light fouling; in this writer’s opinion, it rates 9.5/10. Mechanically, the action functions correctly, but the rifle is fitted with a Jewell trigger that is adjusted so the safety does not function. This is an important issue, and the rifle should be inspected and corrected by a qualified gunsmith before use.
The H.S. Precision stock is in Very Good condition, showing light handling marks, a few scuffs, and a Velcro dot on the side, with no chips or cracks.
