Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a blade dovetailed and set screwed into the barrel. The front sight is slightly bent. The rear sight is a Stevens style tang peep sight. The top of the barrel is drilled and tapped for a scope mount.
Stock Configuration & Condition/Grip: The stock is two piece smooth walnut schnabel forend, straight grip, straight comb, and smooth steel buttplate. The LOP is 13″ and 13 3/4″ from triggers to buttplate. There are light scratches and compression dents scattered throughout. The most notable is on the left side of the wrist. Overall this stock is in Very Good to Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. There is light fouling. In this writer’s opinion this bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its original finish. There are light scratches scattered throughout. The color case is vibrant. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall this rifle is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Charles Daly / Chiappa Little Sharps is a distinctive scaled-down falling-block rifle, combining Sharps-inspired styling with a handy and practical .30-30 Winchester chambering. Manufactured in 2008, this example features a 26” barrel, single-shot falling-block action, and double set triggers, giving it strong appeal for the shooter who appreciates traditional single-shot rifles in a more manageable size and cartridge. The rifle is fitted with a Stevens-style tang peep sight, while the top of the barrel is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The front sight is a dovetailed and set-screwed blade, though it is slightly bent and should be noted.
This rifle remains in Excellent overall condition, retaining about 97% of its original blued and color case finish. The color case remains vibrant, and the metal shows only scattered light scratches. The screw heads are sharp, and the markings are clear. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, no erosion, and only light fouling present; in this writer’s opinion, it rates 9.5/10. Mechanically, the action functions correctly, though the rifle has not been test fired, and as with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be desired to meet the buyer’s maintenance standards.
The two-piece smooth walnut stock set is in Very Good to Excellent condition, showing light scratches and compression dents scattered throughout, with the most notable mark on the left side of the wrist. The schnabel forend, straight grip, straight comb, smooth steel buttplate, and 13” to 13 3/4” trigger-to-buttplate measurements give the rifle a traditional and elegant single-shot sporting profile.
