Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number. The left side of the lower receiver is marked “ELISEO RTS”. The right side of the adjustable buttstock is marked “Competition Machine Inc”.
Barrel Length: 26″ Stainless, Heavy Contour. Unknown brand, unknown twist rate.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a Nightforce NXS 5.5-2×56 second focal plane scope, with the NP-R2 MOA reticle. The glass in the scope is clear. The scope shows light wear, with a few light superficial imperfections in the scope’s finish. Overall, the scope rates in Excellent condition. The scope is mounted to a one-piece picatinny rail, and sits in 30mm rings. The scope comes with the original rubber Nightforce scope covers, and a Nightforce glass cleaning rag.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The chassis system is an Eliseo RTS chassis that accepts AICS pattern magazines. The chassis system is paired with a 13″ handguard with a front sling stud, and a Competition Machine Inc. modular buttstock, with adjustable LOP, adjustable comb, adjustable serrated aluminum buttplate, and rear back riding attachment. The grip is a textured pistol grip with smooth borders. The texturing on the grip is well defined. The LOP measures 12 1/2″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate in its current configuration. The furniture shows light handling wear, with only a couple minor dings and hairline scratches present on the handguard, and on the rear of the ejection port. Otherwise, the finish on the furniture is intact. All of the furniture fits tightly to the chassis & frame, with no play. The barrel is completely free-floating. Overall, the furniture rates in Fine to Excellent condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 1x 10rd Accuracy International metal magazine, in Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: Stainless, Black.
Finish Originality: Original to build.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear, with light scratches and dings scattered throughout the barrel, along with light operational wear on the bolt and friction surfaces of the action. The stainless finish on the barrel is intact, as well as the finish on the furniture. The finish on the action is largely intact, aside from the operational wear. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine to Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. There is no safety on this rifle. The trigger has a light, crisp, and clean break, with an average pull weight of 11 ounces. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with an adjustable monopod, along with the scope and magazine as mentioned above.
Our Assessment: Remington’s Model 700 has long been one of America’s most widely used bolt-action rifle platforms, prized for its strong action, broad aftermarket support, and popularity as a foundation for custom hunting, tactical, and precision builds. This custom Model 700 is believed to be chambered in .308 Winchester, a proven and widely supported cartridge known for manageable recoil, accuracy potential, and utility in target, competition, and field applications; however, no chambering markings are visible, and while a .308 snap cap chambers and the bore measures .30 caliber, we strongly recommend a qualified gunsmith verify the chamber before use. This rifle features a 26″ stainless heavy-contour barrel, Eliseo RTS chassis accepting AICS-pattern magazines, 13″ handguard, Competition Machine Inc. adjustable buttstock with rear bag rider, adjustable monopod, and a Nightforce NXS scope with NP-R2 MOA reticle mounted on a Picatinny rail in 30mm rings. The Eliseo RTS chassis, heavy barrel, AICS magazine compatibility, premium Nightforce optic, and ultra-light trigger should appeal to buyers looking for a serious bench, target, or precision rifle package.
This rifle rates in Fine to Excellent overall condition, retaining about 98% of its metal finish. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion, rating 10/10 in this writer’s opinion. The chassis and furniture rate in Fine to Excellent condition, showing only light handling wear with a few minor dings and hairline scratches, while fitting tightly with no play and leaving the barrel fully free-floating. The metal shows light scratches and dings on the barrel, along with light operational wear on the bolt and action friction surfaces, but the stainless barrel finish, action finish, and chassis finish remain largely intact. The Nightforce scope rates in Excellent condition with clear glass and only light exterior wear, and the included 10-round Accuracy International magazine is in Excellent condition. The action functions correctly, there is no safety on this rifle, and the trigger has a light, crisp, clean break averaging 11 ounces, further supporting our recommendation for careful inspection before use.
