Sights/Optics: The front sight is a Novak Trijicon blade dove-tailed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is an adjustable Novak Trijicon square notch dove-tailed to the slide. The front and rear sights have tritium vials with white outlines.
Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “COLT” and “M45A1” separated by three stars. The right side of the slide is marked with “COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL”. The right side of the frame is marked “COLT’S PT. F. A. MFG CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.”, the serial number, QR code, “(17V)13629” / “(1P)M1070CQBP” / “(S)11375EGA” and “U.S.”. The top of the barrel is marked “-COLT 45 AUTO N.M.”.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are a one piece polymer, checkered, Crimson Trace front activation laser grip. The battery appears to need replacing. There are minor handling marks. The texturing remains sharp and defined. There are no cracks, but there is a minor chip in the bottom of the right grip side. There is a lanyard loop on the butt of the frame. Overall the grips are in Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is minor fouling in the grooves. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates a 9/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its finish. There are minor blemishes in the cerakote finish, as well as a few light scratches, and dings. The MIL-STD-1913 picatinny rail is sharp with only a tiny edge nick. The barrel, trigger, and hammer all show operational wear. The screw heads are strong. The back strap serrations are sharp and well defined. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

This example remains in excellent condition with strong original FDE Cerakote retention and only light operational and handling wear visible throughout. The pistol has been fitted with a Crimson Trace laser grip system featuring instinctive front activation, adding a practical modern enhancement to the combat-oriented configuration, though the battery appears to require replacement. The textured grip surfaces, lanyard loop, and sharp MIL-STD-1913 rail preserve the unmistakable appearance associated with the Marine Corps CQBP program. The bright bore, crisp rifling, and properly functioning action further support the pistol’s quality and preservation.
