Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece, skip-line checkered, walnut stock, with a capped semi-pistol grip, fluted monte carlo comb with cheekpiece, brown vented rubber Weatherby buttpad, a checkered and tipped forend, with sling studs front and rear. The LOP measures 13 1/2″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows light wear, with a few light scratches and dings throughout, most notably on the left side of the buttstock, and one ding in the bolt handle channel. The checkering is well defined, the finish is largely intact, and the wood grain is attractive. The stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Very Good to Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light storage wear, with superficial imperfections throughout the metal surfaces from years of being stored in its original box, that should clean up well with a proper wipedown. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its original serial number matching box, owner’s manual/paperwork, factory test target, and sling rings.
Our Assessment: Weatherby’s Mark V has long served as the company’s flagship bolt-action rifle, known for its strong action, distinctive styling, and close association with high-velocity Weatherby magnum cartridges. This 1975 C&R-eligible Mark V Deluxe is chambered in .300 Weatherby Magnum, one of Weatherby’s signature flat-shooting big-game cartridges, well suited for long-range hunting and larger game. This example features a 24″ barrel, drilled and tapped receiver for optics, blued finish, internal magazine with hinged floorplate, and a classic Deluxe walnut stock with skip-line checkering, Monte Carlo comb, cheekpiece, contrasting forend tip, and brown vented Weatherby buttpad. The walnut stock rates in Very Good to Fine condition, showing light scratches and dings, most notably on the left side of the buttstock and one ding in the bolt-handle channel, while retaining well-defined checkering, a largely intact finish, attractive grain, tight fit, and no chips or cracks. The markings are clear and legible, the screw heads are sharp, and the action and safety function correctly. This is a highly appealing 1970s Mark V Deluxe package with excellent bore condition, strong original finish, and desirable factory accessories.
