Markings: The left side of the frame is marked, “RUGER .44 MAGNUM NEW MODEL SUPER BLACKHAWK”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number, “86-99506”. The backstrap of the gripframe is marked, “** 27 OF 200 **”. The topstrap has an engraving of a handgun hunter. The left side of the barrel is marked with a Mag-na-port 25th anniversary engraving. The right side of the barrel is marked, “Magnaport Silver-Six”. There are several polished bands throughout.
Barrel Length: 6″ Ported/Recrowned Cut down from 10.5”
Sights/Optics: The front sight is a serrated blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a micro adjustable square notch leaf pinned to the topstrap.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are two-piece walnut panels with silver Ruger medallions on either side. There are scratches and pressure dents throughout. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate at Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore but there is some faint stubborn fouling. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.75/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is a crisp turn line on the cylinder. There are scratches and moderate handling marks throughout. There are a few spots of rust freckling throughout. The action has light wear. The screw heads are mostly sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in Very Good + condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk has long been one of the most recognizable large-frame single-action revolvers, built to handle powerful cartridges with durability and control. This example represents a limited-production custom by Mag-Na-Port, commemorating their 25th Anniversary with the “Silver-Six” series. With only 200 examples produced and this revolver marked “27 OF 200,” it reflects a specialized collaboration that blends Ruger’s robust design with Mag-Na-Port’s custom enhancements. Chambered in .44 Magnum, a cartridge introduced in 1955 and widely respected for its power and versatility, the platform remains well-suited for field and hunting applications. The barrel has been cut down from its original 10.5 inch length to 6 inches, then ported and recrowned by Mag-Na-Port, improving balance and recoil control while maintaining strong performance. This revolver presents in very good plus overall condition, retaining approximately 98 percent of its bead-blast stainless finish as applied during the Mag-Na-Port rework. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and only minor fouling present, supporting excellent performance potential. The revolver features multiple custom elements, including polished bands, commemorative engravings on the topstrap and barrel, and a backstrap marking identifying its limited production status. The walnut grips show moderate handling wear but remain structurally sound with no cracks. The cylinder displays a crisp turn line consistent with use, and light rust freckling is visible in scattered areas.
This Mag-Na-Port Silver-Six Super Blackhawk stands as a distinctive limited-production revolver, combining factory Ruger strength with custom performance modifications and commemorative detailing. Its numbered production, ported barrel, and unique engraving set it apart from standard models, making it a notable example within both Ruger and Mag-Na-Port offerings.
