Markings: The trunnion is marked “AD 29 5025”. The rear of the dust cover is marked “AD5025”. The bolt carrier and bolt are marked “025”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “Waffen Werks / Knoxville, TN / AK-74 5.45X39 / Ser# WW 08877”. The left side of the scope is marked “PO3,5x21P 13261”. The left side of the trigger is marked “TAPCO USA / G2”.
Barrel Length: 16.25” with thread protector.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post iron sight between two protective ears. The rear sight is a leaf “U” tangent notch marked from “1 – 10” and “P”. The left side of the receiver has a side rail mount. The mounted scope is a PO3,5x21P. The sight picture is clear. The illumination works.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a four piece wood stock set. The stock has a straight comb and smooth buttplate with a trapdoor for cleaning kit (Included). There is little to no wear. There are light scratches and compression marks throughout. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 12.75” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its finish. The balance of the finish shows light operation wear. There are light scratches throughout. The screw heads range from sharp to tooled with serviceable slots and the rivets are unmarred. The markings are crisp. Overall this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Waffen Werks AK-74 is a modern semi-automatic rifle built from a Bulgarian Circle 10 parts kit, reflecting Cold War-era military production combined with contemporary U.S. assembly. Bulgarian kits are widely regarded for their quality machining and durability, and when paired with a proper long stroke gas piston system, they deliver the smooth recoil impulse that defines the AK-74 platform. Chambered in 5.45x39mm, the cartridge introduced in the 1970s, the rifle offers reduced recoil and improved controllability compared to earlier 7.62×39 rifles, while maintaining the rugged reliability associated with Kalashnikov designs.
This example retains about 98 percent of its finish with light operational wear and only minor scratches visible across the metal surfaces. The four piece wood furniture set shows minimal handling wear with light marks and remains in Excellent condition with no cracks or chips, retaining its trapdoor buttplate and cleaning kit. The rifle is equipped with a side rail mounted PO3.5x21P optic with clear glass and functional illumination. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no visible erosion, rating 9 out of 10 in this writer’s opinion. The action functions correctly and the rifle includes a 30 round polymer magazine and a Tapco G2 trigger. Overall, this rifle presents as a well executed AK-74 build with desirable Bulgarian components and optics.
