Markings: Top of the receiver is marked “ALTERATIONS TO THIS FIREARM ARE UNSAFE AND ILLEGAL READ MANUAL BEFORE OPERATING”. Left side of the receiver is marked “UZI semi auto MODEL A 9mm PARA IMI-ISRAEL” with the “S” and “F” for Safe and Fire near the safety selector. The right side of the receiver is marked “ACTION ARMS, LTD Phila, Pa. SA 21019”. Bottom of receiver is marked “14”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post and the rear sight is L-type flip aperture.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The metal receivers and synthetic pistol grip and foreguard show minimal wear. Folding steel buttstock and safeties all function correctly. The LOP measures 9” from the front of the trigger to the back of the folded buttstock or 15 5/8” from the trigger to the back of the unfolded buttstock. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 9 total magazines. Three 25rd 9mm magazines and Six 32rd 9mm magazine in Very Good to Fine Condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is semi bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minimal wear across the surface of the gun. The screw heads are sharp and pins unmarred. Hinges on the buttstock are functional. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: Due to the popularity of the original Uzi submachine guns, it makes sense that clones and semi-auto versions would appear on the market. IMI-Israel capitalized on the infamy and admiration the Uzi’s received when they created their Uzi Model A. The guns IMI made in Israel are the same outstanding quality as the IMI submachine guns. The front sight of this Uzi Model A is the same original design for the UZI SMG, and fewer Model A’s were produced. Sure it feels like a brick in your hands, but you will build arm muscles and look cooler than 99% of the other people at the range with this gun in your hands. It’s a great looking piece that could make an excellent shooter or become your newest safe queen. So bid on this firearm and add it to your lineup! – L.S.
