Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “Parker Hale LTD, Birmingham, England”. There are English proof marks at the rear of the barrel. The left side of the barrel is marked with the serial number. The lock plate is marked “1861 Enfield” and has a Crown over PH.

Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a blade and base that is soldered to the barrel. The rear sight is a folding ladder style with sliding adjustment.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stock is a one piece smooth walnut, two band, straight grip, straight comb, and brass buttplate. The LOP is 14″ from trigger to buttplate. There are light scratches and compression dents throughout. There are no chips or cracks. Overall this stock is in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is semi bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. There is some light fouling in the bore. In this writer’s opinion this bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains 95% of its original finish. There is light handling wear. There are a few corrosion spots on the barrel. There is some fouling near the nipple. The color case is vivid. The brass shows light tarnish. Overall this rifle is in Good to Very Good condition.
Mechanics: This rifle appears to be functional. The hammer holds half and full cock. The firing channel is clear. As with all used guns a thorough cleaning may be required to meet your standards.
