Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “E.D.M. ARMS MODEL 96 / U.S.A. .50 CAL. B.M.G. WINDRUNNER REDLANDS CA. SER. # 162”. The bolt release lever is marked “E.D.M. ARMS”.
Barrel Length: 28″, 31 1/2″ with 4-Port Muzzle Brake. Fluted. The barrel uses a scaled up version of an Uzi barrel attachment method.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a Nightforce NXS 8-32×56 Second Focal Plane scope, with the NP-R2 reticle. The glass in the scope is clear. The scope shows light wear, with only a couple of light scratches in the scope’s finish. Overall, the scope rates in Very Good condition. The scope is mounted to a one-piece rail, and sits in 30mm extra high rings. There is a bubble level mounted to the scope base as well, and there are flip-up Butler Creek scope covers attached to the scope. The scope has external adjustable turrets with a maximum adjustment of 65 MOA in elevation, and 45 MOA in windage. The turrets’ click value is .25 MOA per click.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a tactical adjustable sliding stock, with an adjustable LOP (which is adjusted by sliding the stock towards or away from the receiver, and the LOP measures 14 5/8″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad in its current configuration. The LOP is adjustable from 12.5″-16″), an adjustable molded carbon fiber cheekrest, a serrated rubber buttpad, and a monopod buttstock support (folds out of the stock). The grip is a textured overmolded rubber grip with finger grooves. There is an M14 bipod attached to the bottom of the receiver. The stock shows light wear, with thinning finish on the spacer that sits in between the butt of the stock, and the buttpad. The cheekrest shows light wear, as does the bipod. The grip shows light handling wear. The texturing on the grip is well defined. Overall, the furniture rates in Very Good condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 3x 5rd factory magazines, all of which are in Very Good condition. There is light operational wear on all of the magazines.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling, there is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling wear. The face of the fluted bolt shows no brass residue, and the bolt shows light operational wear, with only a couple of small lines of thinned finish. The muzzle brake baffles show no evidence of carbon fouling or powder burn marks. The finish throughout the barrel and receiver is intact, with only the most minor handling marks present. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. The trigger breaks at a consistent 4 lbs 10 ounces. This rifle weighs in at 39 pounds with optic, bipod, and empty magazine. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with owner’s manual/paperwork, two cleaning rods, bore guide, the original radial muzzle brake, takedown/maintenance tools, allen wrenches, 2x .50cal nylon bore brushes, black nylon sling, the Nightforce manual/catalog for the scope, spare rubber Nightforce scope cover, along with the scope, bubble level, bipod, and the three magazines as mentioned above. This rifle also comes with a Pelican 1750 locking hard case.
Our Assessment: The E.D.M. Arms Windrunner XM107-T, also known as the Model 96, is a purpose-built precision .50 BMG platform engineered around portability and repeatable long-range performance. Designed in Redlands, California, the Windrunner series became well known for its innovative takedown system that allows the rifle to be broken down and transported in a relatively compact case without sacrificing rigidity, or losing its zero when reassembled. The fluted 28 inch barrel, secured using a scaled-up Uzi-style attachment system, combined with a substantial 4-port muzzle brake, reflects a design philosophy centered on recoil mitigation and practical field deployment. Chambered in .50 BMG, the legendary heavy machine gun cartridge developed in the early 20th century for extreme-range and anti-material military applications, the platform is capable of delivering immense energy and precision at distances well beyond typical sporting rifles.

The bore is bright with sharp rifling and rates 10 out of 10.
