Sights / Optics: There is a six inch section of picatinny rail atop the dust cover for the mounting of optics. This Shotgun has an adjustable front post sight protected by wings. and a rear adjustable leaf sight set onto the sight block.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a black polymer with black polymer 2 piece handguard. The skeletonized buttstock has a rubber buttpad with an adjustable cheek piece. The LOP measures 13.75″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are light scratches throughout. A couple of the serrations have light chips. There are no cracks. The stock rates in about Very Good Plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is smooth and bright. There is no visible erosion. There is some stubborn fouling in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 8 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is light handling wear. There is operational wear. There are light scratches throughout. There is spots of light surface rust forming on the thread cover and barrel. There are a few light nicks throughout. The screw heads are sharp. The rivets are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Very Good condition.
Magazine Quantity and Condition. This shotgun includes one 10rd Magazine in Excellent Overall Condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Molot Vepr-12 is a Russian made semi-automatic shotgun built on the RPK pattern receiver and designed for durability under heavy use. Manufactured by Molot in Vyatskie Polyany, the Vepr-12 utilizes the Kalashnikov long stroke gas piston system adapted for 12 gauge operation, combined with a reinforced receiver and heavy profile components derived from the RPK light machine gun. Introduced in the early 2000s and imported into the United States prior to later restrictions, the Vepr-12 became known for its robust construction and reliability. Chambered in 12 gauge with a 3 inch chamber, the platform offers compatibility with a wide range of loads while maintaining the familiar controls of the AK pattern system.
This example was manufactured in 2014 and retains about 98 percent of its original anodized black finish with light handling wear, scattered scratches, and minor surface rust visible on the thread protector and portions of the barrel. The black polymer furniture set with skeletonized buttstock and adjustable cheek piece shows light wear with minor cosmetic imperfections but remains structurally sound, rating in Very Good Plus condition overall. The bore is bright and smooth with light fouling present, rating 8 out of 10 in this writer’s opinion. The shotgun is equipped with a picatinny rail on the dust cover along with standard AK pattern sights, and includes one 10 round magazine. The action functions correctly and the shotgun presents as a solid example of the Vepr-12 platform built on the heavier RPK style receiver.
