Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked with Remington’s address, “270 WIN”, and the “BA” date code. The right side of the barrel is marked with a couple of proof marks. The left side of the receiver is marked “Remington”, “Model 7600”, along with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 22″
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed to a serrated ramped base screwed to the barrel. The rear sight u-notch sight mounted to a ramped base for elevation and windage adjustment. The top of the receiver is mounted with a Nikon Prostaff 3-9×50 scope, with a BDC reticle. The glass in the scope is clear. The scope shows light wear, with a couple of light dings in the scope’s finish, and on the turret caps. Overall, the scope rates in Good condition. The scope is mounted on a one-piece Weaver base, and sits in 1″ rings.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a two-piece checkered walnut with capped semi-pistol grip, fluted monte carlo comb, checkered plastic Remington buttplate, and a capped pump/forend. The LOP measures 13 3/8″ from the front of the trigger to the rear of the buttplate. The stocks show light wear, with a few light scratches and dings scattered throughout both the buttstock and forend. The gloss finish is intact, and the checkering is well defined. The stocks fit tightly to the frame, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stocks rate in Good to Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some light fouling present. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9.75/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 96% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear, with minor thinning of the finish at the muzzle crown, along with light thinning of the finish on the action bars of the pump, and on the magazine from use. Otherwise, the blued finish is largely intact throughout. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the cross-bolt safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanics check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a total of 1 four round factory magazine, in Very Good condition, along with the scope as mentioned above.
Our Assessment: The Remington Model 7600 BDL continues the lineage of the original Model 760 Gamemaster, carrying forward the fast-handling pump action design that has long been favored in thick timber and fast-moving hunting situations. Produced in 2006, this example reflects Remington’s modern BDL configuration with gloss walnut, monte carlo comb, and polished blued steel. Chambered in .270 Winchester, a cartridge introduced in 1925 and renowned for its flat trajectory and effectiveness on deer, antelope, and elk-sized game, the 7600 pairs rapid follow-up capability with classic American sporting styling.
This rifle retains approximately 96 percent of its original finish, with only light thinning at the muzzle crown, minor wear on the action bars, and light finish wear on the magazine from normal use. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and rates 9.75 out of 10. The walnut stocks remain attractive with only light handling marks and well-defined checkering. The Nikon Prostaff 3-9×50 scope features a clear sight picture and BDC reticle, complementing the rifle’s field-ready configuration. The action and cross-bolt safety function properly.
