Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked with Remington’s 2-line warning & address, along with “25-06 REM. SENDERO”. The right side of the barrel is marked with a series of proof marks. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number, and “Remington / MODEL 700”.
Barrel Length: 26″, Heavy Contour.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a one-piece Xtreme Hardcore Gear 20 MOA picatinny rail for optics. There is a bubble level integral to the rear of the rail.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is the factory one-piece H-S Precision composite stock, with a semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, black rubber Remington buttpad, wide forend, and sling studs front and rear. The LOP measures 13 1/2″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows moderate wear, with scattered scratches and dings throughout, mainly on the bottom of the forend, bottom of the wrist, and on the belly of the buttstock. The stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 93% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear, with thinning of the finish present at the muzzle, and operational wear on the bolt body. There are scattered light scratches and dings throughout all of the metal surfaces, but most notably on the trigger guard and floorplate. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are lightly tooled, but retain strong and serviceable slots. Overall, this rifle rates in Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Remington 700 Sendero was introduced as a purpose built long range hunting rifle, combining the proven Model 700 action with a heavy contour barrel and an H-S Precision composite stock featuring an internal aluminum bedding block. Designed to bridge the gap between field rifle and precision platform, the Sendero earned a strong following among Western big game hunters who valued stability, velocity, and consistency at extended distances. Chambered in .25-06 Remington, a cartridge developed by necking down the .30-06 Springfield case to .25 caliber and commercially standardized in 1969, this rifle delivers flat trajectories and high velocity performance well suited for antelope, deer, and open country hunting.
This example retains approximately 93 percent of its original matte blued finish, showing expected thinning at the muzzle, light operational wear on the bolt body, and scattered handling marks most visible on the trigger guard and floorplate. The 26 inch heavy contour barrel remains bright with sharp rifling, rating 10 out of 10, and the action cycles correctly with the safety functioning as intended. The factory H-S Precision stock shows moderate wear but remains structurally sound with a tight fit to the action, and the rifle is equipped with a one piece Xtreme Hardcore Gear 20 MOA picatinny rail with an integral bubble level for precision optic mounting. A solid long range hunting configuration built on one of the most proven bolt action systems ever made.
