Our Assessment: The Browning X-Bolt Medallion represents one of the more refined trim levels within Browning’s modern bolt-action lineup. Manufactured by Miroku in Japan, the X-Bolt platform built on the success of the earlier A-Bolt design with a short 60-degree bolt lift, rotary detachable magazine, and streamlined receiver profile. The Medallion variant elevates the presentation with factory engraving and a gloss-finished walnut stock, blending modern engineering with traditional sporting elegance.
Chambered in .30-06 Springfield, this rifle is paired with one of the most versatile and time-tested sporting cartridges ever produced. Since its introduction in the early 20th century, the .30-06 has been recognized for its balanced recoil, wide bullet selection, and dependable performance across a broad range of North American big game. The 22 inch barrel maintains practical hunting dimensions, while the drilled and tapped receiver with Talley 30mm rings allows for easy optic installation in keeping with contemporary field use.
This example presents in fine to excellent overall condition, retaining nearly all of its original blued finish with minimal evidence of use. The bore remains bright with sharp rifling, the bolt shows little operational wear, and the gloss walnut stock displays only minor cosmetic handling marks. With its factory magazine and rings included, this Browning X-Bolt Medallion stands as a well-preserved example of a modern sporting rifle that combines decorative detailing with practical hunting performance.
