Choke: Threaded for Rizzini chokes currently installed Modified over Improved Cylinder. Also includes 2x Full chokes and one Improved Modified. 5 chokes total.
Sights / Optics: There is a brass bead at the front of the finely checkered rib.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set is a two piece checkered Turkish walnut with a round profile forend and a Prince of Wales stock with straight comb and Pachmayr butt pad. The length of pull is 14.5″, the drop at comb is 1.5″ and drop at heel is 2.5″. There is a very slight right handed cast. The shotgun weighs 6lbs 9oz. The wood shows no chips or cracks. There are light scattered marks and compressions present. The forend has a notable compression on the right side nose. The marks are mainly concentrated on the belly of the stock. There is a small nick in the left side wrist checkering. The butt pad shows only minor handling. Overall the furniture set is in Very Good+ condition.

Bore Condition: The smooth bores are mirror bright and there is no erosion in the bores. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9.75/10 with some stubborn fouling present at the choke transition for the top barrel.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The bluing on the barrels has a few scattered very minor marks. There is some minor rub wear from the forend that is concealed when assembled. The markings are clear, the screw heads are sharp. Overall, this shotgun is in Very Good+-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrels lock up with no play to the receiver. The safety does not engage automatically when the action is opened. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun includes a Negrini lockable case, choke wrench, the above mentioned chokes, choke case and paperwork.
Our Assessment: This Rizzini Roundbody Regal EL is a refined Italian over-under shotgun built in 2019, chambered in 20 gauge with 3″ chambers and fitted with 29″ barrels. The barrels are cut for Rizzini interchangeable chokes, and this example includes a full set of five chokes: two Full, Improved Modified, Modified, and Improved Cylinder, offering excellent versatility for field or clays use. The Roundbody action is known for its balance and smooth handling, especially in the lighter 20 gauge configuration.
This shotgun features a beautifully executed coin-finished receiver with crisp machine engraving, giving it an elegant yet understated appearance. On these shotguns, the initial rough work is done by machine, and then the fit and finish of the steel and wood, as well as the engraving, are done by hand. The bluing of the barrels, the carving, checkering, and oiling of the wood, and the final touches of the engraving are all done by hand, with the last executed by the well known engraving studio Bottega C. Giovanelli. The furniture is high-grade Turkish walnut, fitted with a Prince of Wales stock that complements the round-action design and enhances ergonomics. Overall, this Regal EL represents a modern Rizzini at its best, combining traditional aesthetics, quality materials, and practical performance in a well-balanced sporting shotgun.
