Choke: The barrels are threaded for Verona pattern chokes. Improved Cylinder over Cylinder is installed, Full, Modified and Improved Modified are included.
Sights: There is a brass bead at the front of the rib. The top of the rib is checkered for glare reduction.
Weight: 7 lb., 1.2 oz.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered deluxe walnut with schnabel forend, prince of wales grip, straight comb and black rubber buttpad. The stocks have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14 5/8″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the pad. Drop at comb is approximately 1 1/2″, drop at heel 2 1/2″. The stock is cast off very slightly. The pad has minor wear and remains supple. Overall, the stocks are in Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: Blue, Silver Nitride, Gold Fowl scenes
Finish Originality: Original, numbers match.
Bore Condition: The smooth bores are mostly bright. There is no erosion, but there is some stubborn fouling. In this writer’s opinion, the bores rate 9/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. The barrels show faint rub wear from the handguard that is concealed when assembled. The action shows light operational wear. There is infrequent minor oxidation, mostly on interior portions of the action, concealed when closed. There are a few scattered minor marks. The markings are clear. Overall this shotgun is in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrel to receiver fit shows no play or movement. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes in a Sigarms combination-lock hard case with serial-matching label, sleeves for the barrel and action assemblies, the additional chokes, choke wrench and a trigger lock.
Our Assessment: This Sigarms Aurora was produced by Battista Rizzini in Italy in 2003. It is a beautiful over/under with two-tone finish and nice engraving with gold fowl scenes. It features 28″ barrels threaded for removable chokes, making for a versatile gun for both clays and hunting. The stocks are beautifully figured walnut that accent the metal finish.
