Our Assessment: Manufactured by Israel Military Industries and imported during the 1984 to 1993 period by Action Arms Ltd., the Uzi Pistol represents one of the most recognizable pre-ban Israeli semi-automatic handguns brought into the United States. Built on the same stamped receiver architecture as the full-size Uzi, this closed-bolt pistol variant retains the distinctive top-mounted charging handle and protective sight ears that define the platform’s utilitarian aesthetic. With its 4 1/2 inch barrel and compact, squared profile, the Uzi Pistol embodies the Cold War era civilian import market that followed the platform’s global military adoption.
Chambered in 9mm Parabellum, this example retains approximately 95 percent of its original black finish with light operational and handling wear. There are minor scratches present, but the markings remain sharp and fully legible, including the Action Arms import stamp and IMI Israel designation. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion, showing only minor fouling and rating 9 out of 10. The front sight is an adjustable white painted post set between protective ears, paired with an adjustable open rectangular rear notch, also protected by ears.
