Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with protective wings and the rear sight is a military aperture sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is walnut with a semi-pistol grip. The upper handguard is a synthetic brown polymer. The synthetic checkered buttplate has the flip up metal plate. There are scratches and compression marks throughout. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttstock. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates a 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows only minor surface wear from responsible prior use and storage. There are minor scratches. The screw heads are sharp and pins are serviceable. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Norinco Poly Technologies M-14S is a Chinese-manufactured semi-automatic rifle patterned after the U.S. M14 service rifle, imported into the United States between the late 1980s and early 1990s. Produced by Norinco and exported through Poly Technologies, these rifles were among the more desirable pre-ban Chinese imports, offering forged receivers and traditional M14-pattern construction. Chambered in .308 Winchester and retaining the classic military-style aperture rear sight and winged front blade, the M-14S reflects the enduring appeal of the M14 design in civilian-legal semi-automatic form.
This example presents in fine overall condition, retaining nearly all of its original parkerized finish with only minor surface scratches consistent with careful handling. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion, indicating strong internal condition. The walnut stock shows light handling wear without structural damage, and the synthetic handguard and checkered buttplate remain intact. Overall, this Poly Technologies M-14S stands as a well-preserved pre-ban Chinese import that captures the classic lines and robust functionality of the M14 platform in .308 Winchester.
