Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped blade with a red insert, it is set on a ramped base that is integral to the rib. The rear sight is a square notch white outlined S&W micrometer sight.

Grip Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered Goncalo Alves Target stocks with smooth diamonds and a football cut. There are some areas of finish loss and thinning. There are a few scratches. There is a thin hairline crack on the left panel at the corner where the backstrap widens into the frame. There are some scattered handling marks. The checkering is strong. The grips rate in about Fine overall condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion and for the age, the bore rates a 10 out of 10.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 90% of its metal finish. There is some light finish wear on some of the edges. There are some scattered marks through the finish. There are some scattered spots of finish loss from previous oxidation and some spots of light oxidation. There is wear on the front sight blade and wear on the red insert. There is a turn line on the cylinder. The screw heads are sharp to lightly worn. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a more thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a wood presentation case, cleaning rod, jag, and mop. The case has been relined.
